Do you want to find out how to raise the profile of your business through the use of video?

Could shooting content on your smartphone save you money and increase your sales?

What is b-roll, the rule of thirds and why should I care?

All these questions and many more will be answered in this interactive workshop hosted by experienced video producer Sean Conroy.

In this hands-on masterclass you’ll be taken through a 4-step approach that will teach you how to plan, shoot, edit and share video content for your business. All done using the video camera you already own, your smartphone!

Intro – Why use video content and what type is best suited to my business

A look at some inspirational business videos examples and examining what types of videos could appeal to your audience and why now is the best time to start creating video content in-house.

Part 1: Planning

Here we’ll break down the best way to plan your video, looking at it’s aims, how to decide what to film and give you some tips to make sure everything will go well in the shoot!

Part 2 – The Shoot

This part is broken into 2 sections, preparation, and the filming. We’ll look at some of the technical issues such as lighting, framing and how to get great audio as well as making sure that your interviewee is at ease and that your phone doesn’t run out of storage! All this guidance and hands on practice will ensure that you have great footage ready for the next part, the edit.

Part 3 – The edit

This interactive session takes you through the editing procedure, using the footage you shot in part 2. We’ll also provide tips to structure the video best to get the most views, using a simple tried and tested approach.

Part 4 - Sharing

There’s no point in making a great video if no one sees it! Find out where to post your video, how to re-purpose video content and get some cheat sheets that’ll make sure that you get it right time after time.

Part 5 – Taking it to another level

The other parts of the workshop focussed on creating video content with your smartphone alone. In this final part we’ll have a look at how additional gadgets and gizmos can raise the production values
