About the event
About the event
Brands are always evolving, and staying relevant takes creativity, curiosity and a willingness to see things differently. Innovation in Branding is a chance to step back and explore how fresh thinking can strengthen your brand and deepen your connection with customers.
In today’s fast‑moving world, a brand is far more than a logo – it’s the story people remember, the feeling they associate with you and the experience you create. This session will bring together businesses who actively use innovation to shape their brand and stay aligned with the changing needs of their customers.
You’ll hear from organisations of all sizes who communicate with purpose, build trust and express who they really are through bold ideas and meaningful design.
Speakers
Jennie Collingwood, Northumbrian Water
Jennie will share how Northumbrian Water uses powerful campaigns such as Bin the Wipe, SuDS for Schools and Communities, and their work with WaterAid to engage customers, build trust and champion environmental sustainability — all while delivering outstanding service and hosting their renowned annual Innovation Festival.
Sally Smallwood, Chief Wreckre8tor, Wreckreation
Sally will take you inside the world of Wreckreation – the handmade fashion studio inspired by motorsport, sci‑fi and big ideas. She’ll unpack the brand’s mission to create long‑lasting pieces, challenge convention and stay fiercely original, as well as sharing the journey that led to features in GQ and a collaboration with Team Shelby.
Scott Wilson‑Laing, Founder, WL Distillery
Scott will explore how WL Distillery captures the spirit of the North East through its unique gins, inspired by places like Blast Beach, Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Water. From Watermelon & Liquorice to Lumiere‑themed editions, Scott will show how storytelling and passion can shape a brand that connects emotionally with customers.
