15 years+ spent within the manufacturing sector (both batch and FMCG manf) for a number of large companies- lead roles included: Product testing & analysis/ Supplier quality assurance/ Total quality management/ Statistical process control/ Company-wide sales forecasting (UK & EUR markets)/  Operational management inc. responsibility for multiple departments and staffing.
20 years+ within the SME business landscape with multiple roles including: Including: Joint-ownership and management of 2 small companies / 10+ years within multiple funded programmes (inc . Invest for Growth / Growth Accelerator / Supply Chain NE) / 3 years General Manager of a Comms sector small company / 5 years as small company commercial business improvement consultant.

With the Durham Business Growth programme John’s primary role with be as a Productivity & Growth Advisor working with County Durham business owners, leaders and managers to improve specific business areas which, will in turn, result in increased productivity (process, people, systems) and a greater probably of successfully achieving growth ambitions.
